AWANA is an international, Bible-centered children’s ministry with weekly clubs, programs and training. The goal of Awana is to equip churches and parents worldwide to raise spiritual champions who know, love, and serve Christ using integrated programs and resources for Bible based parenting and discipleship. The acronym Awana comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. We’re here to serve with a purpose—to win and grow kids for Christ!
Reaching our world’s young people is very important. Did you know that 85% of all people who do not accept Jesus by age 18 never will? That’s why Denver Baptist is offering a series of clubs and programs through Awana geared to the needs of a particular age or grade. As a vital part of Denver Baptist’s church ministry, Awana clubs and programs will effectively immerse kids in God’s Word and reach young people with the good news of Jesus Christ.
